Funds raised by PEARR go to Women In Distress of
Broward County, Inc., the only state certified,
nationally accredited, full-service domestic violence
center in the county. Women In Distress provides
victims of domestic abuse with a 24-hour hotline,
shelter, counseling, and educational programs.
Membership
Our membership drive is underway right now. We encourage you to join PEARR and help us continue to help end dating and domestic violence in our community. Our memberships begin July 1st and end June 30th each year. Your membership dues and all of the proceeds raised by PEARR will be used to support the programs and shelters of Women in Distress of Broward County.Membership benefits include discounts at PEARR activites, events and a membership directory.

Adopt A Shelter Donations and Sponsorships
A wonderful way to contribute is to donate to or sponsor an Adopt a Shelter luncheon where we focus on providing a hot buffet lunch to the shelter participants and their families on special occassions like Thanksgiving or Mother's Day. It is truly something that helps to lift the spirits of those who are in a crisis. We also accept donations of time or items from corporate or community groups. Live Boldly Artwork Donation
Calling all artists! In conjunction with our annual winter Live Boldly Art Show and Auction, we are looking for local artists who would like to donate artwork (paintings, photography, sculpture, crafts, etc) for a silent auction that evening. All profits will be donated to Women In Distress of Broward County. Cell Phone Donation Drive
There are more than 30 million old, unused cell phones in homes and offices nationwide. Cell phones can be used to call 911 in an emergency. Phones can also be recycled to generate thousands of dollars to help the many domestic violence victims served by Women in Distress. Any type of cell phone is needed, with or without the charger. Blooming Sales Thrift Store and Donations Center
Women in Distress sponsors a wonderful Thrift Store where donations of gently used items are always needed. First and foremost, the items that are donated to the thrift store are distributed to the participants served at the two WID shelters and those who are served through outreach services at the Jim and Jan Moran Family Center. Items are also sold to the public to raise funds. All revenue supports the many services of Women in Distress that are provided to the victims and families of domestic violence in Broward County.Hours:

Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 11am to 5pm. Donations are accepted Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm
